How to Update Your Shopping Cart

Sometimes you may need to modify the quantities or items in your shopping cart. We’ve included some steps should you have any difficulty modifying or updating your Campus TeamWear shopping cart.

Making Changes To The Items In Your Shopping Cart

You can easily remove or edit the quantities of items in your shopping cart. To edit a quantity, make sure you are at the shopping cart screen. To change a quantity of a specific item, type over the number showing in the quantity box with a new quantity, then click the "update cart" button at the top of the page. (For your convenience, the "update cart" button is located both at the top and bottom of the page. Either button can be clicked to achieve the same result.)

There are a couple of ways to make sure you are typing over the number already showing in the box.

  • Double click the number inside the quantity box; make sure the cursor is highlighting the number, then type your new number, then click away from the box.
  • Click once to the right of the number and hold your left mouse button down while moving the mouse to the left so that the cursor highlights the number you want to change. Once it’s highlighted, type the new quantity, then click away from the box.

If you are trying to remove an item completely, type in a zero or select the delete check box on the product line, then click the "update cart" button. When the screen refreshes, the item, which you changed to a quantity of zero, is removed from your shopping cart. You can verify it has been removed by looking at your subtotal at the bottom of your shopping cart page.

What To Do If Your Shopping Cart Will Not Update

Your shopping cart relies on a web technology called "cookies" so in order to use it, you must have your Internet settings configured to accept cookies. Most people DO NOT turn this feature off especially if they frequently use the web for shopping. However, if you experience problems using our shopping cart, it could be because of your Internet cookie settings.

We have found that in cases where a shopping cart is not updating properly, sometimes the best solution is to delete your cookies from your temporary Internet files. Deleting your cookies is what we consider a last resort, because it will clear out any items already placed in your shopping cart. Remember that once you have deleted cookies you will have to start fresh and select all of the items you want to purchase, placing them in your shopping cart again. Please see the next section for browser specific instructions.

How To Delete Cookies From Your Temporary Internet Files
Internet Explorer Browser

If you are using Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser, at the top of the window you will see a row of menu selections.

  • Click on "Tools", then "Internet Options", to open the Internet Options window. On the "General" tab, you will see a section for Temporary Internet Files.
  • Click the button titled "Delete Cookies." An alert window will pop-up asking you if you are sure you want to delete all cookies from your Temporary Internet Files.
  • Click "OK."
  • Click "OK" again to exit the "Internet Options" popup.
  • Close your Internet Explorer browser window. (Completely exit the web browser.)
  • Reopen your Internet Explorer web browser and navigate back to the Campus TeamWear website. Your shopping cart will be reset to $0. You can then re-select the items you want to purchase and proceed to checkout.
AOL Browser

If you are using the AOL browser:

  • Click on the "Settings" button near the top of the browser screen.
  • In the "Settings Main" popup, click the "Internet (Web) Options" link to open the "AOL Browser Settings" window. On the right side of the page, click on "Use Your Internet Explorer Settings to set advanced browsing options."
  • Follow steps 2-5 for Internet Explorer.
  • Click the "Save" button.
  • Close your AOL browser window. (You do not need to sign all the way out of your AOL service.) Navigate back to the Campus TeamWear website. Your shopping cart will be reset to $0. You can then re-select the items you want to purchase and proceed to checkout.
Netscape Browser

If you are using the Netscape browser:

  • Click "Tools" on the menu bar at the top of the page.
  • Click "Options", then click the "Privacy" icon (padlock)
  • Click the + sign next to "Cookies."
  • Click "Clear". An alert window will appear with the message "This will permanently delete cookies. Do you wish to proceed?"
  • Click the "OK" button to proceed.
  • Click "OK" on the Options – Privacy popup window to close it.
  • Completely close out of the Netscape browser. Reopen the browser, and navigate to the Campus TeamWear website. Your shopping cart will be reset to $0. You can then re-select the items you want to purchase and proceed to checkout.
